Isaac Williams
Board Chair
Isaac Williams is the founder and owner of the Matrix Sports Academy, which is dedicated to empowering and promoting young women through athletics. With a lifelong passion for football and a commitment to equipping young athletes with the skills to excel in sports and pursue post-secondary opportunities, Isaac has built a program that reflects his dedication to the next generation.
Isaac’s love for football began early in life, culminating in an impressive collegiate football career as a running back for the University of Pittsburgh. His years on the field instilled in him discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities he continues to uphold. Following a career-ending injury, Isaac turned his attention from playing professionally to sharing his love for the game by coaching. He has amassed over two decades of experience coaching at various high school programs in Montgomery County, Maryland, and supporting the development of teams within the Interstate Athletic Conference (IAC). He has been deeply committed to mentoring young student-athletes throughout his coaching career. In addition to skill and character development, which are philosophies central to his coaching, Isaac has also maintained a successful recruiting service, Sky With Eyes, that supported over 300 students in securing scholarships and opportunities to play at the collegiate level. His commitment to the longevity and success of athletes within his programs and his talent for recognizing and nurturing the potential in others reflect his beliefs in the transformative power of athletics and education. Under Isaac’s leadership, the Matrix Sports Academy seeks to be a center of excellence, offering opportunities and a platform for female athletes to develop their skills, showcase their talents, and build confidence on and off the field.
The Matrix Sports Academy is a culmination of both his personal and professional experiences. Named fondly after his oldest son who plays professionally in the CFL, the academy is a dedication to his three children: Devonte, Devin, and Lailah. His children have each inspired him in their own, very different, ways to create a program that uplifts and empowers young athletes, particularly girls, in a sport that is breaking barriers and redefining opportunities. Inspired by his children and driven by his passion for developing well-rounded athletes, Isaac champions the growth of football and the aspirations of countless young athletes.
